About us

Built from inside the industry we serve.

Onboardability is a marketing and growth partner working exclusively with credit unions. We design and run the connected system that brings new members in, activates them across the first year, and deepens the relationship over time.

We didn't find our way to the credit union industry. We cameĀ fromĀ it.

Every system we run was built from the inside of the problem it solves.

Why we exist

The hardest-working teams in financial services deserve a bigger engine.

Credit union marketing teams are some of the most capable teams in financial services, and some of the most stretched. They carry every channel the institution has, serve every internal department and the branch network, and handle member communications, community involvement, and everything in between, while the market around them industrializes: fintechs and digital-first competitors winning financial decisions with systems, not campaigns.

Onboardability was founded in 2015 to close that gap. We bring the connected growth system a credit union could rarely justify building alone: digital advertising tuned to intent, onboarding that runs the entire first year, and enterprise email that deepens relationships. One team designs it, builds it, runs it, and reports on what it produces.

We're headquartered in Kansas City and built to work easily with credit unions anywhere. We've done exactly that, across the country, with institutions ranging from $25 million to $10 billion in assets.

And we do it exclusively for credit unions. Not-for-profit financial cooperatives are different on purpose: what membership means, what the products are for, how the institution wants its members to feel. That difference is our native language, not a vertical we added.

Strategy and execution from one partner, so a small team can deliver like a large one.

How we work

What we believe.

Members are the point

A credit union exists to better the lives of its members, so that is what the marketing has to do. Growth is the result of relationships done right, not the substitute for them.

Systems beat campaigns

Campaigns end. Systems compound. Everything we run is built to respond to real member behavior continuously, not to perform for a quarter and go quiet.

Proof over promises

Every number we publish is one we can defend, and every engagement includes reporting that helps marketing tell its story to leadership in terms leadership recognizes.

An extension of your team

Your goals, our capacity. We carry the standing workload of the system so your team's time goes to the decisions only they can make.

The team

The people out front.

Sean Yokley

CEO & Co-Founder

Sean Yokley

A credit union lifer in the most literal sense: his first birthday party was held in the basement of a teachers credit union, his first high-school job was at a federal employees credit union, he worked at the university credit union through college, and he never left the industry. Sean founded Onboardability to serve the marketing leaders whose challenges he knows firsthand.
